My first imression when they arrived was how cool and different the looked. After a couple laps around the block, trying to get used to the width, I set off crosstown. The roll resistance was excellent, just as expected. The ability to roll over cracks. cobbles and other imperfections of the skating surface was also excellent.
With the trial run under my belt, I decided to give them the "working skate" test. I'm constantly taking my skates on and off and these performed well. I have developed a skating stride that works well with the wide wheelbase and have not clicked wheels the last four days. My stride is quite like a "double push" on inlines, Using the "fall," or rocking from side to side while stroking over the centerline and using an outside edge. I can also crossover effectively if I use deliberate and precise moves. I have noticed pronounced and unusual wheel wear on mostly the front wheels. I will try harder wheels when it comes time to replace them.
